Governor Siminalayi Fubara stated that he informed Speaker Martins Amaewhule about his planned visit to the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex.
On Wednesday, Fubara arrived to re-present the 2025 Budget, as directed by the Assembly, but was unexpectedly locked out of the complex. This incident followed the Supreme Court’s ruling on February 28, 2025, which recognized Amaewhule as the Speaker of the House.
