Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reaffirmed his loyalty to the Kwankwaso political movement, saying he and his team will continue to follow Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s leadership and guidance in all political decisions.
The governor made this known during a meeting with 484 councillors from all 44 local government areas in the state, where he praised Kwankwaso’s wisdom and foresight.
“God has given him a rare gift of foresight,” Yusuf said. “When he advises you on an issue, it’s usually the right path. That’s why we have resolved to go wherever he leads. We trust in his direction.”
Governor Yusuf also used the opportunity to respond to allegations made by the sacked Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Baffa Bichi, who accused the administration of corruption. Yusuf dismissed the claims, saying Bichi was spreading lies out of bitterness after being removed from office.

According to the governor, “How can a government not yet two years old be accused of stealing ten times more than the last administration? There’s no logic in that. These are baseless claims by someone seeking relevance.”
He also refuted claims that he gives N2 billion monthly to Kwankwaso. “That’s a lie. Kwankwaso is not an oppressor, and such talk is only coming out now because Bichi is no longer in government.”
Yusuf warned that his government would take strong action against anyone or any media outlet that spreads falsehoods or insults their political leader, saying the Kwankwaso political movement will not tolerate reckless comments.
The governor called on the councillors to identify urgent needs in their communities and assured them that his administration is committed to delivering good governance and development until 2027.
“We are focused on bringing the dividends of democracy to every doorstep. From now until 2027, that will be our mission,” he said.
