Tinubu to Return After Easter, Governance Uninterrupted – Presidency

Despite being away in Europe, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is still fully in charge of Nigeria’s governance, according to a statement released by the Presidency on Thursday.

The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said that President Tinubu’s return to Nigeria is expected shortly after the Easter holiday, in line with the two-week timeframe that was earlier communicated to the public.

The President, who recently moved from Paris to London, has remained in close contact with top government officials. He has continued to oversee key national matters, including giving instructions to security chiefs to respond swiftly to emerging threats in various parts of the country.

President Tinubu’s return to Nigeria will follow the conclusion of the Easter break,” Onanuga stated, adding that the President’s commitment to his responsibilities remains strong, even while abroad.

The Presidency assured citizens that the government is running smoothly and that there is no disruption in the country’s leadership. All major decisions and functions are still being coordinated by the President.

“We appreciate the concern from the public,” the statement continued. “But Nigerians can rest assured that the business of governance is moving forward without pause.”

President Tinubu’s return to Nigeria is being closely watched by the public, but the State House insists that there is no cause for alarm and that his administration remains fully functional and responsive during his brief absence.
