On Sunday, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) provided an update regarding the Bokkos Plateau State attacks These brutal assaults occurred in the Bokkos Local Government Area (LGA), targeting approximately five communities, including Ruwi, Hurti, Tadai, Gwande, Manguna, and Dafo villages. The attacks led to multiple fatalities and extensive property damage.
The violence has resulted in over 1,820 people being displaced from their homes. To assist those affected, three displacement camps have been set up in Daffo, Hurti, and Gwande, while many others are finding shelter with local communities.

According to a recent report, at least 52 individuals have been killed in the Bokkos Plateau State between March 27 and April 2, 2025. Tragically, five people remain missing in Hurti. Meanwhile, two critically injured victims are receiving care at Plateau Specialist Hospital, and more than 20 are hospitalized at Cottage Hospital in Bokkos Town.
The security situation in the area is still tense. NEMA is working closely with the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and the Chairman of Bokkos LGA to assess the conditions in the displacement camps and provide urgent support to those affected by the Bokkos Plateau State attacks
