President Bola Tinubu has condemned the recent violent attacks in Plateau State, promising that the Plateau attackers will be captured and face severe consequences under the law.

The President expressed his condolences to the families of victims in the communities of Ruwi, Hurti, and Tadai in the Bokkos Local Government Area, as well as those from Manguna and Dafo villages, which experienced these brutal assaults. These attacks have led to significant loss of life and property damage.

In his message, President Tinubu urged affected communities to work with law enforcement and share any information that could help catch the Plateau attackers and improve safety in their areas. He assured Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang of the federal government’s support in addressing this cycle of violence.

To assist the victims and support recovery efforts, the President has directed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to collaborate with state authorities, ensuring that necessary aid reaches both communities and individuals impacted by the attacks.

“I am saddened by the report of another violent attack in communities in Plateau State by mindless gunmen,” President Tinubu stated. “These latest attacks on defenseless citizens are unacceptable. I have instructed security agencies to hunt down the Plateau attackers, and they will face severe punishment when apprehended. Such violence has no place in our country, especially as we work to restore peace and order everywhere.”

He emphasized that while this tragic event is disheartening, it will not deter the government’s commitment to protect every Nigerian. “We will intensify our efforts to end the forces of evil that threaten our communities,” he added.

The President also extended his thoughts and prayers to the victims’ families, urging all citizens to unite for peace regardless of their ethnic, religious, or political backgrounds. He called on everyone to embrace their shared humanity and reject any form of retaliation.
