The Office of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu has issued a statement regarding a viral video showing students at an event chanting in a light-hearted manner. The video, “na your Mama be this,” captures a moment during the First Lady of Nigeria’s visit to Delta State on March 25, 2025, for the Renewed Hope Initiative’s donation of 10,000 Professional Kits to midwives in the South-South zone.
In a statement signed by Busola Kukoyi, SSA Media to the First Lady she explained that the event was aimed at motivating midwives across the nation and reduce infant and maternal mortality rates in Nigeria. The First Lady expressed gratitude for the warm welcome from the Delta State Government, the people of Delta State, and the enthusiasm of nurses, midwives, women’s groups, and student nurses in attendance.

However, the playful chants recorded by some students have led to concerns, as a few students from the Delta State College of Nursing Sciences reportedly received queries regarding their participation.
