DG Guarantees Payment of 77,000 Corps Allowance in March

“With effect from March, you will receive the sum of 77,000 Naira as your monthly allowance. The NYSC is reliable in record-keeping, and I assure you that your money will be paid. The nation and the Scheme appreciate you,” he said.

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, has announced that all Corps Members will receive their new monthly allowance of 77,000 Naira starting in March 2025.

He emphasized that the NYSC and the Federal Government are devoted to supporting Corps Members’ welfare and will always prioritize their well-being. General Nafiu made this announcement while meeting with Corps Members at the Wuse and Garki NYSC Zonal Offices in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

While addressing the Corps Members, General Nafiu expressed gratitude for their dedicated service to the nation and encouraged them to stay calm, focused, disciplined, and committed. He praised the founding fathers of the NYSC for their vision and urged everyone to support the Scheme.

“The NYSC is a wonderful program that helps build bridges and allows young graduates to learn and appreciate the cultural values of places outside their hometowns,” he stated. He also noted that the management would continue to teach important values such as patriotism, discipline, self-restraint, good morals, leadership, and teamwork to future batches of Corps Members.

“With effect from March, you will receive the sum of 77,000 Naira as your monthly allowance. The NYSC is reliable in record-keeping, and I assure you that your money will be paid. The nation and the Scheme appreciate you,” he said.

Corps Member Zaka Deborah Alheri, speaking on behalf of her colleagues at the Garki Zone, thanked the Director General for his efforts in ensuring the payment of their increased 77,000 corps allowance.
