The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) is proud to announce its participation in GITEX Africa 2025, the continent’s largest tech and startup exhibition. This exciting event, held in collaboration with GITEX Africa and the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), will bring together global investors, technology leaders, policymakers, and innovative startups, providing a unique platform for Nigeria to showcase its best tech talents.
Nigeria is rapidly emerging as a hub for tech innovation in Africa, boasting a thriving startup ecosystem valued at over $10 billion. At NITDA GITEX 2025, 12 high-potential Nigerian startups will receive full sponsorship to present their innovative solutions, further strengthening the country’s digital economy on the global stage.

Call for Applications
Startups interested in participating in NITDA GITEX 2025 must meet specific criteria:
- Registered Entity: Must be a limited liability company registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and listed on the Nigeria Startup Portal.
- Minimum Viable Product (MVP): Must have a working prototype or a market-ready product.
- Innovative Solution: Startups should demonstrate technological innovation in sectors such as Fintech, HealthTech, AgriTech, EdTech, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain & IoT, Cybersecurity, Sustainability, and GreenTech.
- Scalability & Market Potential: Solutions must serve a large market with expansion potential.
- Competitive Edge: Startups should have a strong business model, defensible technology, and a unique value proposition.
Application Process
Startups can apply online at http://programs.startup.gov.ng/gitex. The application process includes initial screening based on eligibility, innovation, and market potential. A scoring system will evaluate startups based on market size, innovation, traction, financial viability, and team strength.
The top 12 startups will be selected to participate in NITDA GITEX 2025 and will receive official invitations, along with pre-event training to refine their pitches.
