The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has activated its Standby Force to tackle terrorism and other cross-border crimes in the region.
During a meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, the Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru, emphasized that the stability of peace is essential for the economic growth of West Africa. He urged all ECOWAS member nations to come together and address the various threats facing the region.
