BREAKING: DangotE Cuts PMS Prices by N65 Ahead of Ramadan

Lagos, Nigeria – February 26, 2025 — In a significant move to provide relief to Nigerians, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, from N890 to N825 per litre. This price change will take effect on February 27, 2025.

The decision to lower prices comes in anticipation of the upcoming Ramadan season and is part of a broader commitment to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic recovery initiatives. The reduction aims to ease the financial burden on the Nigerian populace, providing much-needed support during this important period.

This latest adjustment marks the second price decrease for PMS in February 2025, following a previous reduction of N60 earlier this month. Previously, in December 2024, during the festive season, the refinery had cut prices by N70.50, demonstrating an ongoing effort to alleviate the cost of living for Nigerians.

In light of this new pricing, Dangote petrol will be available at affiliated retail outlets, with MRS Holdings stations offering it at the following rates: N860 per litre in Lagos, N870 in the South-West, N880 in the North, and N890 in the South-South and South-East regions. Meanwhile, AP (Ardova Petroleum) and Heyden stations will sell the product at N865 per litre in Lagos, N875 in the South-West, N885 in the North, and N895 in the South-South and South-East.

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has assured the public of a steady supply of petroleum products, claiming sufficient reserves not only to meet domestic demand but also to bolster export levels, positively impacting the country’s foreign exchange earnings. The refinery urges marketers to collaborate in ensuring that these benefits reach the Nigerian populace.

As part of President Tinubu’s overarching strategy, this initiative aims to enhance Nigeria’s self-sufficiency in refined petroleum products and establish the nation as a key player in the global oil market.
