The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd strongly refutes the unfounded claims presented in a viral video that suggests NNPC fuel is ineffective. Mr. Olufemi O. Soneye, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC, made this assertion in a press release. He emphasized that these allegations are entirely without merit, originating from unverified and poorly conducted research that lacks both credibility and professional scrutiny.

Notably, a large portion of the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) sold at NNPC retail stations in Lagos—where the misleading video originated—is sourced from the Dangote Refinery, a key partner in promoting local production and energy security. Dangote Refinery complies with strict industry standards, ensuring high-quality petroleum products.
