Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), along with members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), announced on Saturday in Awka, Anambra State, the end of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s political reign and the dominance of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the state.
Ganduje and the NWC were in Anambra in preparation for the party’s primaries and the November 8 governorship election. Their visit coincided with the inauguration of the new APC state secretariat, established by Sir Paul Chukwuma and equipped by Prof. Obiora Okonkwo.

Chukwuma and Okonkwo are among the aspirants competing for the APC governorship ticket, along with Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and two others. The inauguration event resembled a political rally, with speakers emphasizing the need to end APGA’s dominance in Anambra.
In his address to party members, Ganduje commended President Bola Tinubu for his economic reforms and urged APC aspirants to unite to reclaim power from APGA.
“Our President, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, is a visionary leader who knows what to do at any moment,” Ganduje stated. “Anambra must connect to the national grid. APC must change the narrative in Anambra, but we must stay focused and vigilant.”
