Napoli’s initial offer was rejected, but they are now prepared to submit a new bid of £47.9 million plus £5.9 million in bonuses, as reported by Tuttosport (via TuttoMercatoWeb). This is expected to be their final serious effort to bring the Argentine player to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
However, Napoli’s new offer falls short of Manchester United’s asking price of £58.9 million for the winger. If United accepts this offer, Napoli is likely to finalize a personal agreement with Garnacho, who prefers to join them over Chelsea, which has not shown significant interest so far.
If Garnacho leaves, Manchester United may look to strengthen their attack by considering a loan for Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich. However, they might miss out on Tel, as Bayern reportedly has a verbal agreement with Tottenham Hotspur, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg. United is also exploring the option of loaning Christopher Nkunku from Chelsea, who is eager to leave Stamford Bridge this month.
The funds from Garnacho’s potential sale could assist United in signing either Nkunku or Tel on a permanent basis.
