Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has said that fame isn’t his primary goal in the music industry.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Hip TV program Trending, the rapper said “I never wanted to be rich famous or be listed as one of the richest in Nigeria“
According to him, his aim has always been to make an impact, emphasizing that riches and fame are secondary.
“I have never tried to be famous. The way people say they want fame, like the way people say they are looking for money—people want fame. I never wanted to be rich and famous. I have never thought about it,” he said.
“When I started my music career, I never thought of being famous. I only thought about doing nice stuff and impacting people with it.
“Promoting myself equates to being famous, but that kind of fame is different from the TV’s ‘rich and famous.’ I have never bought into that context.”
Odumodublvck gained popularity in 2022 with the release of his hit song Picanto, featuring Ecko Miles and Zlatan Ibile.
In March 2023, he released his hit single Declan Rice. On July 15, 2023, Arsenal announced the signing of Declan Rice using his song in the background.
